Who says smoothie bowls are not for winter days? They are 🙂 But I prefer not to use too many frozen ingredients and instead of frozen banana which normally gives quite a thick texture, I increase the amount of coconut yoghurt I mix with the other ingredients. Avocado is also a good friend to create a creamy texture and I think it would also go with this recipe. Do you like smoothie bowls in winter?
Ingredients
Smoothie:
- 1 cup wild berries (I used frozen ones but let them defrost over night and they were a mix from raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and black and red currants)
- 1 handful cherries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup coconut yoghurt
- 1 medjool date
- a splash coconut milk
Toppings:
- fruit of your choice (I used blueberries, blackberry and banana)
- popped amaranth
- oats
How to make:
Just mix all ingredients in a food blender and add some more coconut milk if the texture is too thick. Top as you like.
Looks beautiful!
