Sundays are for slow mornings, coffee and waffles. Although I am really sad summer turned so quickly to autumn and the last week was cold, rainy and grey there are certainly a few good things about autumn too! Soups, cosy Netflix nights and figs of course! Figs and chocolate is a match made in heaven so I brought them together in this recipe. Enjoy!
Ingredients for two people
- 175 g flour
- 90 g vegan butter
- 50 g sugar
- 2 small or 1 big mashed banana
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate spread or melted dark chocolate
- 1 tsp vanilla seeds
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 100 ml water
- 2 figs to serve
Method
Heat the waffle iron. Mix all together and bake according to the instructions of your waffle iron. If you have a square waffle iron and want more round waffles, just add a small spoon of batter in the middle and bake. Slice the figs and serve with the waffles, maple syrup and some blueberries and coconut yoghurt (optional).
Looks delicious. I will try it.
